Things to Keep an Eye out for!

These are a couple things I'm liking that are "In" right now!
Tell me your thoughts!

A little Tutu in your outfit to make you feel beautiful!
I wore a BCBG dress for my birthday and it had a little tulle material.
The other dress is from American Eagle which goes a great job of having a hint of tulle!

These Van shoes add a nice little retro look to any outfit without over doing it. I'm liking this style than my usual Ked shoes. (I think the Ked shoes made people look too child-like and looked like grandma shoes too- if that makes any sense.)

Real flowers as jewelry!!!
This is Diane Kruger in Inglorious Basterds wearing an orchid. (Check out the movie, it was really good.)

Must Have: Smashbox Primer

So this is my SECOND must have product: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer.

So I always though that you didn't need primer I thought I could just use lotion to keep my makeup on. WRONG. After doing some research I found out that lotion moisturizes deep into the skin so the makeup has nothing to cling on to.

Primers on the other hand fill in pores and stay on the surface of the skin. This lets makeup stay on longer. Now I like Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer because it has a gel feeling so not only is it smooth applying it to your face but when you apply the makeup on it just glides on-OHHHHHH I love the feeling.

Smashbox's photo finish primer also comes in other color than clear. It has bronze and green tints. Green tints for people with acne problems.

BEST PART, you can buy it cheaper on ebay with free shipping! I wish I would have known that before I got mine!

What you can do more with your mineral makeup!

So I kid you not I learned this from a little stand in Perimeter Mall and I am so EXCITED ABOUT THIS!

1. If you take one of your eyeshadow colors and add Vaseline, you can apply it to your lips! How cool is that? Remember it'd look weird if you wear the same eyeshadow on your eyes the same time you have it on your lips.

2. ANOTHER thing you can use your mineral makeup is take some clear nail polish and dip it in the mineral and apply to your nails! The lady actually did my nails with a nice brown eyeshadow color.

So your same color eyeshadow mineral makeup can be transformed into lip gloss & nail polish! Have Fun with these new tips!

New Trick: Don't Lose Your Makeup

I wanted to get out of the house today so I decided to go to Perimeter Mall and play with makeup! And just by talking to the employees that work there I learned a lot!

You know that the makeup industry is flooded with these mineral powder products. And I was getting really annoyed that whenever I open the lid there would be massive amounts of powder in the container, as shown in the picture above. So I talked to somebody from bare minerals (your product doesn't have to be from bare minerals so this trick can still help you.) about how to solve this problem.

Here are the steps:
1.There is a plastic lid where there are holes in it, CAREFULLY use a tool to get the plastic lid off and dump the excess powder in the container.
2. Then wash and dry the plastic lid with holes really well.
3. Then apply packing tape over the top part of holes (where the powder where come out of).
4. Then pop the plastic lid back into the container.
5. Chose any random two holes to poke to allow powder to only come through those holes.
6. As your powder is running low you can poke for holes.

* You do have to flip the container onto the lid to get the powder out but it won't be so much without this technique.

***You're also keeping your makeup longer! Instead of this big clump of powder coming out of your containers you now have a controlled amount of powder to work with!

I have done this with all of my containers and I'm a lot happier!
Keep Swirling, Tapping & Buffing!

My New Favorite Eyeshadow

So I've been eyeing up the line Benefit for quite some time (it's a pricey makeup line) but I finally saved money and bought one of their creaseless cream shadowliner.

I bought the color "Flatter Me" and it really makes my eyes pop and yet subtle enough to wear it everyday (which is what I was looking for).

Another thing I love about this product is I mostly use it as a eyeshadow but when I'm feeling adventurous I use one of my eye brushes and use it as an eyeliner with a darker eyeshadow for a night out look.

This is also a great eyeshadow for layering. You have your base eyeshadow and you add benefit's eyeshadow on the inner parts of your eye and then a little on the tail end of your eyelid. It really makes your eyes pop then!
